...scorches (first item) Ted Kennedy for the speech about Iraq he gave on Thursday at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. I would add that Francis Fukuyama should have been embarrassed to give Kennedy such a distinguished platform, not to mention a "generous introduction."

Taranto's point is similar to my own, which is that Ted recasts his late brother's "pay any price, bear any burden" idealism as "shrink before any intimidation, run from any commitment."
