A wise move for RFK Jr.

Of all the latter day Kennedys, I most easily stomached Robert Kennedy Jr. He was likeable and seemed humbly dedicated to some large and worthy environmental causes, such as cleaning up the Hudson River and maintaining the upstate watersheds of the New York City water supply. Then, during the last year or so, he went off the rails into Michael Moore-like fanaticism, wildly accusing George Bush of everything short of ordering the weakening of Earth's magnetic field.

Most recently came the trial balloon about him running for New York State Attorney General. The New York Times reports that Kennedy has wisely scrapped those plans:
MOUNT KISCO, N.Y., Jan. 24 - Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the environmental lawyer and the son of the onetime senator from New York, said on Monday that he had decided not to run for state attorney general after having considered a bid for several months.
He says that he realized that the job would cut too deeply into his time with his six children, which I'm willing to take on face value.

But there's something else about Bobby Jr. that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. He doesn't appear well, and I don't mean that he seemed to have a head cold the last time I saw him being interviewed in the run-up to the presidential election. He was having difficulty speaking and his voice was quavering in a way that suggested something not good, which I pray is not the case.
