Apparently, just to give you something to go on, the French trade unions are protesting proposed changes to that country's 35-hour work week. No, not that the week will be either lengthened or shortened, but whether French workers will be allowed to work approximately 45 minutes more overtime per week. They are now allowed to work about 3-1/2 hours of overtime and the proposed changes would allow them to work about 4-1/4 hours of overtime per week. The unions are against workers being allowed to work the increased time.

What's next? Will courageous Dutch pediatricians be called in to euthanize, as obviously and irreversibly deranged and no longer capable of suitable quality of life, those workers who are willing to work the extra time?
