Wow, does this ever point to where the bodies are buried

Arthur Herman, writing today at NRO, leads everyone down to the historical moment where he thinks all the bodies got buried: Yalta. It's brief, but you might find yourself chewing on it for a very long time. I can't pull a quote from it that captures the overall theme, so I won't try. It needs a careful reading. If it gets out and around, beyond today's electronic presence at NRO, I predict that it will set off a firestorm among historians and foreign policy types.

An interesting piece. I'm left with the impression that Herman feels that that Roosevelt, despite his pragmatism, was sorta-kinda blinded by the promise of the spanking-new United Nations. In that, he has plenty of company, even today.
